Being younger I recall some tough bowel movements, where it felt like I a concrete block was coming out of me. But I don't remember too much about any constipation.

Around when I turned 22 I started having constipation problems. Working night shifts might have contributed to the problem.

I went for X-rays and ultrasounds and they said my stomach was perfect.

So after that I did my own research to find the cause of constipation.

Based on studies it seems constipation is caused by magnesium defiency and low fluids (from foods) intake. It's not caused by low fibre.

I began using NOW brand magnesium and it helped a lot. But my constipation still wasn't at the level I wanted it at.

I switched to a brand named "Solgar" and now my constipation is 100% gone. And I never have any more of those concrete block bowel movements.

Warning - Before you take magnesium, throw your pill in vinegar for 30 minutes. If it isn't mostly dissolved by 30 minutes, it's no good. That's the reason I switched to solgar.
