Thanks, I take all of those.

I am aware of the competitive situation with Zn Cd and Hg; however, the latter two are the big bullies.

My understanding is that we take Zn to improve the competitive balance in favor of Zn. It gives the body a better chance to create the enzymes, etc that require Zn.
