I agree with you Vektek, we shouldn't define ourselves by our sins, and honestly I haven't been involved in churches enough to really know what is going on. I know there is a big movement for people who want to declare that homosexuality is not a sin and I don't agree with this. But there are also plenty of people who are homosexual and realize that it is sinful but still want to surrender themselves to Christ. I believe your understanding is correct but unfortunately it is not the way that many Christians are behaving.
