Ok well its not Iodine toxicity. Many people take way more than that. However the Iodine could be indirectly involved. I donmt know what these companion things are you mention but it could be contributing to oxidative stress. Oxidation effects the iron in the blood making it a worse gas exchanger. So boost anti-oxidants and you should be good. Also add some bicarbonate to help buffer blood ph.
