For the past 6 weeks or so, I've had hotter than normal urine plus several times a day sensations of heat (kind of like hot flushes) in the genital area. I've had several urine tests at my doctor's - one identified enterococcus as being present, whereas the last two said the urine was clear!

At one point, the symptoms flared up into more typically cystitis-like ones (that horrible pressure in the bladder area and constant urge to pee), but the second Antibiotic the doctor gave me (cephalexin) seemed to clear that up - although not the original symptoms. (The first Antibiotic - nitrofurantoin - did nothing.)

I've also tried several natural approaches, notably D-Mannose (which I didn't know at the time wouldn't work on enterococcus!) and currently wild oregano oil (absolutely disgusting!) - I've taken this for about a week with no noticeable difference in symptoms.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Or have any other ideas whilst I'm waiting to see a consultant?
