I'm a newbie too, but from what I understand, it all depends on what you do AFTER the cleanse. If you return to your old habits right away, especially when your metabolism is slower, I'm guessing the weight will come back.

If you transition into healthy habits following the cleanse, you should gain minimal weight back.

That's my take on the hundreds of pages and posts that I've read.
