After reading many of your posts, I have a clearer picture of your problem. Having suffered and battled both bird mites (D. Gallinae) and the black Northern Fowl Mite, plus a few rodent mites, for 2 years (still have a few), I've learned a great deal.

It doesn't seem like you are infested with mites. For starters, the excrement from bird mites would be to small to be visible. The mite itself is barely visible. Springtails might be a better guess. They do infest humans.

A friend and her husband were tormented with them for a couple of years. The experiences she told me re. tub filled with black specks matches your story. She used to go to a tanning salon to rid herself of the pests and she said the bottom of the tanning bed was covered with black spots. They followed ICU's protocol using albenza and ivermectin, plus they did many repairs to their house. They sprayed so many pesticides I'm surprised they are still alive. They bought several dehumidifiers and repaired foundation cracks as their home was in a high moisture area.

They have been totally well for over a year now.

Springtails can leave and they can come back. They are from your environment. If you feel they might be a possibility, I am attaching an environment treatment plan for them.
