I use food grade DE to assist with Candida expulsion. How it affects the yeast is as follows: DE "injures" the extremely hard cell wall of the candida organism. This allows antifungal preparations such as olive leaf extract to penetrate the cell and kill it off. Drinking lots of water is necessary to flush the toxins and avoid constipation due to liquid in the intestine being absorbed by the DE. Hope this helps. I had very poor success with wiping out candida until I started taking DE. It has really accelerated the process.
