i knew jury selection was important but not as important as it once was. judges instructions insist on conviction if the letter of the law has been broken. no one knows that a juror has all power over the law and can judge both the person and law, together or separately. they can say this law doesnt apply in this case or with this person or that the law shouldnt apply to anyone or that this person shouldnt have this law applied to them, etc, etc. the judge always lies to them and tells them differently. without being informed ahead of time there is no way any of them can have this power. check out the fully informed jury association and see for yourself.
there were about 30 people there to choose from. i am learning this as i go. the prosecutor asks the pprospects a series of questions. they are good ones. problem is i am having to think fast and i dont do real well on my feet. im a ruminate. a clean animal. i chew the cud and then decide. no time for that here. i paid attention best i could. when it was my turn to ask questions i didnt have any. i said her questions were good and helpful. the only other question i could think of was about fija and i think the judge would have let the prosecutor bumb them for cause so why bother.

before this started i was sitting at the defendants table and my bandage on my leg started leaking honey. the judge and prosecutor took me back and made sure i was ok and wanted to procede. i told them it didnt hurt and that i was fine. it looked awful but i wasnt about to explain anything to them that they had no ability to process. the proght me more bandages and we put them on and i was good to go. the prosecutor was explaining the jury selection when this happened so while she got bandages i aske the judge to explain. he told me the prosecutor would go first. i asked him because i didnt want to use my free three strikes if the prosecutor was gonna strike them anyway. it didnt work out the way he told me.
back to the selction, i was told to select the ones i didnt want. i wasnt sure how to procede so the judge said to reject any from the first six jurors. i selected 2. the the prosecutor selected some. the rest moved up in place. i had one more rejection but missed my opportunity to use it. the one of the new first six that would have gotten rid of ended up as the jury foreman. my instincts were good there, but i missed my opportunity. number seven in line, if i could have rejected that one and got to keep the next in line, she was one i really, really, really wanted. as it turned out, it wouldnt have made any difference.
