I am a 19 year old female and was sexually abused as a child. I have never told anyone about it face to face and I would like to keep it that way. I have read online that you never really fully recover unless you see a therapist or councellor, however I do not want to discuss my abuse in person and I cannot go unless my family find out which I definitely do not want to happen. I have been looking online for sites that I can discuss my abuse with people that were in a similar situation as myself or with someone that could possibly help me. However, I have not come across any site. I feel like there is very little online support for child sexual abuse it is all for adults who have been raped or just defining what child sex abuse is. I feel the abuse is possibly still affecting my life as I am extremely secretive and have difficulties sharing things with my friends. This has a negative impact on relationships with friends. I don't really know what to expect from posting this but I don't have any other options.
