Thanks for the tips. I did a Water Fast on Friday. It was pretty easy - I didn't really feel hungry. In the morning when I woke up I felt a little weird and slightly nauseous, but it wasn't a big deal.
Depending on what happens on Thursday at the appointment, I will probably fast again after. Only I'd like to do a longer fast because I'm really frightened of what my body is doing right now and if he says it's RA I would like to fast an extended time immediately to try to stop the progression.
Do you think it's unwise to go into a 7-14 day fast when the most I've ever done is 5 days 4 years ago? I realize the ideal situation would be to build up to it, but if he says it's RA...which maybe he won't...I'd rather not take the time to build up, even if it would be easier.
I stopped the vegan/gluten-free diet on Saturday because I had visited a chiropractor at People's Pharmacy that wanted to test me for food intolerances . He said I had to have those foods in my system before the blood test or else they wouldn't show up on the test. But now I've been reading about how a lot of food intolerance testing is not scientifically valid apparently and I'm not sure whether to trust him. I'm also worried about damaging my joints while playing with eating any foods. He said it wouldn't matter for a week, but I have no idea if he knows what he's talking about. He didn't seem very familiar with water fasting.
Today was a hard day - joints were bad and doing anything was painful. I left work early. I'm afraid to eat anything.
