Here is how I cured my folliculitis : 1: If the problem persists after the first round of Bactrim and cleansing with Antiseptic soap or bleach water baths, like me you have a lazy immune system. 2. Stimulating the immune system is the only way to win this battle. I take Z-BEC vitamins (one daily), ferrous sulphate (65 mg 3 times a week), Vitamin D3 (2000mg 2 times daily), olive leaf extract ( 1000mg 2 times daily), and the most important for me is KELP TABLETS ( iodine )( at least one daily ). Iodine from the Kelp stimulates the Thyroid hormones but I have to be careful not to take too much. I took 3 a day for a few days then dropped back to one a day. I saw immediate improvement. I avoid sugar (it retards the immune system for about 4 hours). 3. Topically I use antiseptic soap in the shower and then after drying off apply Cetaphil Restoraderm cream. I am completely clear now. I hope this helps others.
