"Do you know or ever red about Lugol being good for parathyroid?"

Yes, definitely. Correction of your thyroid issues with Iodine etc will have an impact on the parathyroid. All the endocrine glands work together, adrenals, thyroid, pineal gland..

-At this forum, Iodine VWT you will find good info about Lugols Iodine and health in general.
If to take iodine in large amounts, it is important to read the FAQ. Then read the RRRed threads.

Boron;
"Boron deficiency causes the parathyroid glands to become overactive, releasing too much parathyroid hormone which raises the blood levels of calcium by releasing calcium from bones and teeth. This then leads to arthritis, osteoporosis and tooth decay.

Boron also affects the metabolism of steroid hormones, and especially the metabolism of sex hormones. It increases low testosterone levels in men and oestrogen levels in menopausal women. It also has a role in converting vitamin D to its active form, thus increasing calcium uptake and deposition into bone. It is also said to improve thinking skills and muscular coordination."

Magnesium;"Despite hyperparathyroidism, serum calcium and magnesium levels both tend to be subnormal"

For your search, try "_______(minerals)deficiency hyperparathyroidism." Then the better pages show up, and the relationship pattern between the different minerals show up too.

When blood calcium is too high, it may actually be a deficiency of calcium. No, I would not supplement with calcium. Rather take supplements that supports the uptake and utilization of calcium. Boron is a key mineral as it activates vit D, and regulates the magnesium - calcium levels (kidneys). Zinc, copper is involved too (excess or deficiency).

- It took me a year on Lugols to correct my hypothyroid. I spent several hundred hours to educate myself; one of the best investments I ever did:)
