I was diagnosed with allergic broncho pulmonary aspergillosis in 2008. I had been coughing for 2 years and finally started coughing up blood. That was when I sought medical care. I was told the only treatment was prednisone. I am a nutritional therapist, so I sought to find a natural way to fight the fungus. I was able to put the fungus into remission for 2 years. Then it flared back up in 2010. I watched my lung function decrease at an alarming rate until I finally agreed to take prednisone and otraconosol (a fungus killing agent ). I took these agents for 5 months and they seemed to do nothing to kill the fungus. They did cause weight gain and the start of cataracts. Finally I went back to my natural agents. I began to take tumeric from Thorne research. It is called Meriva SR. It is a time released Curcumin( the active ingredient). Within 2 weeks I felt that it was easier to breath but did not want to jump to conclusions. After 3 months I had a blood test that measures inflammation in the lung. Called an IGE test. To my amazement the IGE levels had dropped 1000 points. The tumeric was working! I continued to take the tumeric (8) capsules daily. And the lungs just got better and better. Now nearly 3 years later my lung is in remission and my IGE levels are 264. Normal is 190. I am thrilled and will never stop taking tumeric. I urge you to try it.
