The problem is that "try small doses" has equally valid counter arguments grounded both in basic chemistry/physics as well as in practical medical experience. Which is why (here in Germany?) main stream (among the doctors practicing in this area at all) for the use of chelators is to use LOTS of it at once.

This isn't even limited to chelators, there are plenty of drugs where "overdosing" is the accepted best practice. ALA (in usage unrelated to chelation) for certain uses is one such example.

I am RUDE with a purpose, occasionally: We are HELPLESS. We - and doctors as well - CANNOT HELP YOU.

We don't know what will help you or bring you down even more. Anything you hear from us or from doctors are *helpless guesses*.

So the truth is that whatever you do - you are on your own, 100%. I don't want to pretend that I can help with any of my advice, so I don't. Whatever you decide to do, it may help you - or you may dig yourself in a little deeper.

My own decision was based on this:

1) Doing nothing probably would let things calm down as it had before, over time.

2) Doing nothing would do nothing to solve the underlying problem though, just shift it to later decades in my life. As it had before.

3) I don't want to live a life just "hanging on". I am ALL OR NOTHING: If I can't cure myself pretty much completely than I don't give a d... anyway.

So I went full risk: Go for chelation!! LOTS of it. I had to repeat the decision process many times, it isn't done only once. Should I try a new big dose now or wait a month doing nothing? Sometimes I waited, but often I went for (subcutaneosly) self-injected DMPS. The past 5 years were full of such decisions, and usually I went for the more aggressive one. With full knowledge of many bad examples out there.

I CANNOT recommend what I did to anybody else! It seems to work well, but I took my money and a few years "timeout". No work, no kids, no car, enough money to pay for what I needed. Who can do that??

But I think to be able to show from my experience that the stress-free live and being able to lie down and rest is ESSENTIAL for recovery! I highly doubt it is possible with a full work schedule and demands of wife and kids or school.

So If you don't have my options and willingness to go "full risk, win or loose" then I highly doubt you *can* win this fight.

So no, you don't get nice-sounding advice from me. YOU ARE SCREWED (it happened in the past, no changing it now) and if you recover... well...

My best flight instructor was the rudest one. If you want NICE answers instead of correct or helpful ones - and "helpful" may actually be exactly the ones that SHAKE YOU from your complacency and false hopes, then I have none for you.

You have to understand that you are a unique experiment. In your situation I would go for LOTS of DMPS (s.c., i.v.) and DMSA (capsules in between, following Cutler) in between. Maybe, or maybe I don't really know your situation. I can give this advice - and it may KILL YOU. Worked for me. No two people and situations are the same. I will not give nice-sounding advice that may kill or seriously hurt the recipient. The other advice you got was "go slow, take very small doses". Sounds less dangerous, for reasons described above I would still try large doses. But not without restrictions, I took breaks when things went "strange".

Turned out that when taking more chelators wouldn't help, after taking a 1 or 2 month break it would suddenly again be very effective.

----

The bottom line, I write the way I write because I think it is MUCH more helpful/better for you when you don't like me. You have to evaluate what I say based solely on the CONTENT of my words. Given that advice here can potentially be VERY harmful to you it is better to get it in tbe way that I hand it out.
