Catterdate 2-3 weeks in
She continues at strength, Gina :-)
Little black girl, 4-5 years old, grown up with a single person home since she was 2 months old. She's a bit antagonistic about the sterilized male cats here, but we're doing what we can to correct and teach slowly. A kitty is meant to have a feline mother between months 2-4, that's when they get social manners!
If her habits of chasing our boys continues, we've got several prospects for a good local home for her. Until then, she is our most affectionate lapseeker! And we really do want her to ease into life in an open-air home. (big garden.)
She's growing her fur back at full strength, she looks almost completely normal now. She developed an infected knot at the keyhole sugery site on the belly, and she has a few pinhead-sized sores on her chin where she was using her hind claws to scratch during the de-flea-ing stage.
I paint magnetized Lugol's on the belly wound, currently. 1x a day. The infected knot was the size of a squished golfball the first day, then reduced 1/4 the next morning after Iodine application.
Right now the hardness is completely gone (after 4 days), and I can just feel some light scartissue between her (looseish) catskin and the area of the organs that were removed.
CatchAsCatCan.. and she's trying to climb me like Mt everest again, she liked her belly being palpitated.
I think the order of the day is a bit of NKO krill oil (has anasthaxin in) and some of the good old A-D-K mix.
Hubby used a cussword, ' Antibiotics ', when I told him about the surgery site infection. I said 'iodine', he said 'let's try!'. ;)
