Henry David Thoreau never once mentioned the chiggers, a very vigorous creature. Just got off the farm and I'm ate up!
Makes me wonder about my survivability if something like the little chigger alone can rock my world, right now I can focus on nothing else but the severe itching and knowing it will last several more days I feel defeated by nature.
Wish I could be as tough as people 100 years ago, they say humans can get used to anything and still find normalcy in between but first you must go through the fire. I've been so good at avoiding pain I've become defenseless against it.
