Well.. -something- to do with the liver, that's for sure!

Infections can mess with digestive ability plenty.. and I linked to the tennant videos because he points out co-infections and the whole nine yards.

Iodine, etc..
Personal nutrient profiles can swing a ton with the season, viruses and infectious agents at play in the population, diet within the past 2-4 weeks, heck, even stress and emotional levels.

Fatty acid metabolisim is linked to B-vitamin status, especially niacin and pantethine levels, Iodine and it's cofactors, etc. Messing with those supplementally is a giant networked puzzle though, so it's better to start with the logical explanation from an integrative medicine doc, because he points out the things that are too much to write in a forum post!

Low testosterone is especially interesting once you get to Tennant's materials on iodine, since we're talking about hormone production. An imbalanced gut flora can skew hormonal balances like nobody's business since they can produce estrogen-like substances, but the first place to look is near-always diet...

And, a Tennant mentions, the overall behaviors of the meridian lines through the body. Have you been in for dental checkups or polishing (flouride exposure == low Iodine status) lately? Colds, flus, coughs within the past 4-6 months? Those sorts of things can stay on systemically.
