i am going to ask my chinese medical doctor about these herbs.
out of curiosity, is tu si zi a stimulating herb, in the sense that it would increase cortisol?

i find that herbs that are stimulating like licorice make me extremely anxious and depressed.

so, i want to make sure that any herb i take is calming of my nervous system, which seems to be overreactive.
