OMG!!! We are like twins!

I had the same experience on progesterone. You would think since I would hit these weird pockets of fatigue that my body would welcome the conversion of progesterone into cortisol but it didn't work like that. I became more wired, anxious and had more night wakings.

On paper, progesterone makes my estrogen climb so I get not so nice ED symptoms. All hell broke loose when they tried to shut estrogen down with DIM while simultaneously giving me progesterone. I became more anxious had panic attacks. At the same time I was taking licorice root which increased my cortisol levels while decreasing potassium.
I am so mad right now b/c I tell every practitioner that I have bad experience with progesterone but they insist I take it and I just feel worse. I know estogen gets such a bad rap but I think it also plays a role in lowering cortisol.

I am now just climbing out of that hole.

It's a bit of a puzzle for me b/c my high cortisol at night prevents me from falling asleep and it starts climbing early morning so I wake up at 4am like clockwork.

You would think a cortisol lowering supplement at night like Cortisol Manager would work but instead I wake up after a couple of hours in sweat. Either it lowers cortisol too much so I am having an adreneline surge or my HPa is outta control and sees any attempt to lower cortisol as a reason to spit more cortisol out.

Thank you for the advise on the magnesium. I will def look into the bio plasma supplement. I noticed since upping my magnesium and cutting progesterone that my brain feels calmer. It's just my body refuses to shut down.

Just curious if you ever tried an adrenal glandular? On the surface the logic seems counter intuitive but it was recommended I try some b/c I had low sodium and potassium levels indicative of a highly stressed person. It was suggested that a glandular would help with stress coping but that I would have to go slow and take low dose to start. I would also need it b/c magnesium wastes sodium/potassium.

I feel like I need something..,today I had a very stressful day and tonight I feel lots of inflammation in my body. I tripped yesterday and the impacted joints are killing me right now.

Do you ever get stabbing cramps in your calves? I have that now. I'm guessing from low minerals??

And thank you for being candid about Xanax. I think supplements are great preventive measures but when your body feels its in real trauma you need to calm it down ASAP.

Since I did have a stressful day, I think I will add trazadone to my mix tonight b/c I deserve a good nights sleep!
