I Like your post. Yes Collagen does help reduce cholesterol and heal tissue, skin, hair etc. There is abundant research about it online from manufacturers and Universities. We develop and manufacture collagen and other protein based drinks and collagen sales have gone through the roof. We sell it now to physical therapists, hospitals, weight loss centers, fitness centers....The main reason it does lower cholesterol is because in our product you get 15 grams of real protein in 76 calorie drink that you mix with water. It is liquid, stays in your body longer, packed with Amino Acids , fat free, cholesterol free, gluten free, fiber enhanced and tastes like kool aid.

I started substituting Collagen protein for red meats and basically most of my protein in the last year and I lost over 25 actual pounds of fat and my cholesterol went down as well. I also followed an exercise plan as well but the collagen filled me up and gave me energy. So try it out.. you can find different varieties of collagen but check out our liquid version that is diabetes friendly and fiber enhance. http://www.essen-nutrition.com
