1) Blood work cannot accurately measure iodine. You need to take the Urine Loading test.

You cannot overdose on iodine, all excess Iodine not used by the body goes out in urine. Even when going into the urine, it works to cure UTI's and bladder infections without drugs. Doctors today know NOTHING about iodine. Prior to WWII Iodine was taught in every medical school, and was used extensively. Now doctors have become drug pushers for the Drug Companies. Prior to WWII up to 1.8 grams of Iodine daily was routinely used for some diseases. I use 800mg daily of SSKI for my asthma, in addition to 50mg of iodoral for my prostate.

2) Dr. Brownstein recommends 300mg of iodine daily for cancers, so I cannot advise against what he says. He is our bible on this subject. However, our neighbor did cure her terminal uterus cancer on 50mg iodine daily, in only 9 months. She was sent to home hospice & given 3 months to live. I am not recommending 50mg for cancers, but that did work for her.

3) I recommend reading Lynn Farrow;s book, "The Iodine Crises: What you don't know about iodine will ruin your life." She talks about how she cured her stage 3 Breast Cancer with iodine.

5) Every cell in our body contains an iodine receptor, and iodine is used by our immune system to kill cancer cells, fungus & disease. There are ALWAYS cancer cells in our body, and our immune system kills them off routinely. Our problem is that the toxins of fluoride, bromide & chlorine have replaced iodine in our cells, and they can no longer fight off cancer. This is why we go through detox when taking iodine. We are replacing the toxins in our cells with our required iodine. We live in a sea of these toxins, they are in our food, water, bread, packaged foods, furniture, bedding. We cannot escape, and this is why Dr. Brownstein recommends 50mg of iodine daily for maintenance to prevent these toxins from taking over our cells.
