Thanks joegrane,
I've never tested for heavy metals before.
I wanted to do the hair analysis but I read that in those who are really sick or have advanced AF, the body isn't strong enough to push the toxins into the hair tissue, instead it will store them in the organs and brain as the detoxification is supressed. what do you think about this?
== You'll read some similar thoughts in the youtube videos by Boyd Haley, former chair of chem dept at the U of KY and writings of Andrew Cutler, PhD chem.
== Cutler has an interesting theory about how Hg affects the movement of elements in the body and into hair. He has developed some probabilities, "Counting Rules" for the hair test. He is looking for the effects of Hg, not the level of Hg in hair. That is usually lower than in healthy people expect in those who eat lots of fish. There is more on an early version of the theory in this discussion with an autism doctor and mother of a formerly autistic who got much improved on treatments that included frequent dose oral chelation.

This site is used by the detox groups in part to be evaluated according to Cutler's rules.

I should probably add that about 7 months ago, I had 8 Amalgam fillings removed in just a few weeks, by a non-holistic dentist, I remember my health got much much worse after that, especially the anxiety.
== Sorry to hear that. The good news is that when people can attribute some of their sickness to recent dental work they often get some nice gains on detox, for example

== Cutler and Dr Dan Pompa are other examples, unfortunately their audio discussion of this is no longer available online.
Even though I've always been a nervous person, I've never had anxiety before, in fact I suffered from Depression and exhaustion for a long time. but about a year ago things started changing and Depression was gone in a matter of months, replaced by severe agitation. Weird, isn't it?
== I assume you were not taking lots of antioxidants around the time of removals. I strongly suggest that you take a few grams of Vit C (buttered mostly?) in divided doses per day and lipid soluble vitamin such as E.
== You might learn about norepinephrine/adrenaline. Once you learn about how adrenals, methylation, magnesium & lithium retention are involved it will make much better sense.
== Learn about methylation support (phoenixrising site might be a good resource since some people there also use Cutler for detox). Methionine synthase is very sensitive to Hg.
I'm already taking magnesium citrate with added calcium citrate in a ratio 1:1. I'm a bit concerned about its absorption, since calcium is a magnesium antagonist, maybe I should try just the Mg itself?
== With Hg problem I think you can do with somewhat more Mg than Ca. Theoretically people with Mg don't retain Mg normally.
== So much more could be said! The above information is for you to look into, not direct instructions.
== Joe
