This is for a research project. I can choose any topic, but I thought this one could help more people now. I was thinking of asking people to also have their doctors mail preserved biopsy tissue (at least part of it), if available, to the lab as well. If you no longer have flakes, perhaps you still have preserved biopsy tissue? I am in the process of finding out if the skin flakes need to be preserved in formalin or another preservative for a better study. I am not a professional scientist, but I know that DNA can still be found in dead skin cells. And the results would only be based on DNA and microbe analysis.

I need to get this project all set up before I post the mailing instructions. I plan on posting results as a whole on this website. I can also post individual DNA and microbe analysis results if a nickname is provided with the sample.
