If Cayenne Pepper helps it is likely a Herpes family virus. Cayenne slows it down in the nerves. Lysine in large doses will help also.

If you have coverage go to an Urgent Care facility and get it looked at. Find out exactly what it is. This will save you lots of suffering in the future.

If you had Chicken Pox you likely have shingles for example. That's what I had and it's easy to treat.
