Listen trapper, you and I are the same age and I don't use jive-turkey language of the 70's anymore. Please speak like an adult so I can understand what you are trying to say. ;)
I saw that it was someone else that quoted wrongly....so who's point are you trying to make? Are you wanting it to be all about "your" Christ in Gandhi's statement? Point being that Gandhi had Christ...just not my Christ?
Making a statement like that still does not mean he is saved. It's the Holy Spirit of the gospel that speaks to the unsaved.
I disagree with Gandhi. He suggested we study the other religions and find the good in them.
There again is the same old problem. Good...is not good enough without the blood of Christ. It's available to all, but not all will accept the gift. Accepting the gift takes action on our part by reaching out and claiming it for ourselves. Liking Jesus, or being good is not that action. Putting on the righteousness of Christ is an action of accepting Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Gandhi may have shown kind ways like Christ but it was not enough to be considered righteous in Christ.
Do Christians that have the righteousness of Christ applied to them need help of the Holy Spirit on the love and kindness part more?...sure we do....but I think patience will have to be the first thing we ask for healing of because we know time is short.
More loving ways, no compromise of the gospel.
