A few things., first you mention the vulgate. The king james as well as the 1560 geneva that preceded it, were not based on the vulgate. They were based on the textus receptus. The Vulgate (/ˈvʌlɡeɪt, -ɡɪt/) is a late fourth-century Latin translation of the Bible that became, during the 16th century, the Catholic Church's officially promulgated Latin version of the Bible(from wiki)  you see, the vulgate had been around longer than god in most peoples minds.  the focus on it by the catholic church then connonized this version  i dont care how you slice it, all christianity is catholic.

You seem to come at scripture with assertions. We all do it so no harm there. Yet some of these I do not get. The king of babylon was considered an anti-Christ by Isaiah, not a archetype as you seem to present here.

he is both.  isaiah knew what he was saying:

Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

and again:

Isaiah 5:20
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

This passage is simply laying out that God will restore that which was lost in the babylonian captivity. For example the king of Babylon. The royal figure, personifying Babylonian arrogance, is dismissed with the taunts of his victims, not immortalized in the praises of his admirers. Using poetic imagery, the king of Babylon is addressed with sarcastic irony. From the great heights of his pride, arrogance, and rebellion against God, his downfall brings him to the depths of Sheol (Hell, the burning concept does not exist until the new testament). So the writer is comparing the fall of satan to that of the king and kingdom of babylon. As for your fruit analogy. Fruit is to be tested by the word of God (The Bible) Satan was written of in the beginning. Making an appearance early in the garden.

well now thats the story they tell, aint it?

how can any man think he has it right if he conforms in any way to this world system?

Luke 16:15
And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.So I am struggling to see what you are getting at. Are you denying the existence of Satan?

So I am struggling to see what you are getting at. Are you denying the existence of Satan?

no.  satan is the flesh.  the beast.  the serpent.  satan is man.  who is a liar?  man.  who is a murderer?  man.  who wishes to make everything over into his image and destroy gods creation in the process?  man.

back where i come from they call that a no-brainer.
