what would Jesus have to say about the current state of Christianity, then?  apparently, there must be a structure where god dwells along with icons, images, and symbolism OF christianity.  if statues (NOT statutes) that represent christ or any other hero of christianity are offensive to you then you could give islam a try because they forbid any imagery of their prophet OR god.

bbc a biased and ureliable source?  i find the bbc to be MORE apt to tell the truth whether its nice or not than any other broadcasting network.
