Hello everyone,

I have a very serious problem, I have had brain fog since November 2012, I have not been able to work, and can have trouble communicating with people, I have trouble word finding and have memory problems.
I am 22 years old, male, I have never smoked or drank alcohol or done any drugs.
But in 2011 and 2012 I was under chronic stress, I had lots of emotional stress and I was also doing lots of heavy weight lifting and eating lots of calories. Most of the calories would sometimes come from pizza, and I would drink up to 3 liters of whole milk and would have high Sugar weight gainers.

In 2011 and 2012 I had reflux (possibly stress/diet related) and had diarrhea after having citric acid and citrus foods.I later learned that this problem was related to a Vitamin B5 deficiency (vitamin which is crucial for the adrenals). I only started supplementing with vitamin B5 in June 2013, whilst it stopped the reactions to citrus it didn't relive my fog.
In March 2012 I was put on PPI's for the acid reflux for 2 months, but I had dyspepsia as a result, and then in 2012 I would have major sinus problems, hayfever, allergies, stomach problems such as stomach pain, my muscle would also twitch for no reason. And one time in September 2012 after working out I had maltodextrin and some pea protein which nearly made me faint, I think it gave me blood Sugar problems.
Then later on in 2012 I started to change my diet, I omitted wheat, dairy and soya but I never felt better.
In November 2012 my brain fog started, it gradually got worse, I was so stressed in 2011 and 2012, I had so many flight/fight moments and some sleepless nights, in October 2012, I had double vision when viewing things close up, this made me so worried, I booked an appointment with the optician, I was so worried, i was sweating and my heart was beating, but upon checking my eyes the optician didn't find anything wrong.
I still have the double vision when viewing things close up but it has improved slightly,i think my eye spinchter muscle may be weak.

However, in 2013 the acid reflux eventually cleared up but the brain fog got worse, I thought my problem was due to anxiety/ Depression so I took some relaxant herbs for a few months and they made my brain fog worse.

I had a hair mineral analysis test which stated that I had minor adrenal insufficiency, however, some of the assumptions were incorrect such as my weight loss being down to my body not using glucose properly which causes brain fog, and my body burning fat as fuel because of no glucose utilization.
Weight loss was a symptom I experienced as a result of not eating enough due to being on restrictive diets (gluten, soya free etc), but a few months ago I started to eat more and put the weight back on and haven't lost the weight gained.

My main symptoms now are brain fog, sensitivity to cold, this sensitivity can give me bloodshot eyes, and i do have some physical fatigue, i yawn and feel tired even though I have not done anything that physical.

From July 2013 to April 2014 I was on a diet for adrenal fatigue which was vegan I was having a balanced ratio of protein, fat (from olive oil) and carbs (quinoa, buckwheat, millet) every few hours to stabilise blood sugar, I was also having Dr Schulze Superfood plus to meet my vitamin/mineral needs. I was also having ample Sea Salt , some licorice and for a while I took Ashwagandha/Siberian Ginseng but never felt that better.
These adaptogens only made my hair grow quicker.

Then in April 2014 to June 2014 I thought my brain fog was because of low potassium, I started having potatoes, introduced fruit (after not having it for 2 months) and I felt better than before but still had the fog, I was having up to 4,500mg of potassium but still didn't feel better.
Subsequently, in July 2014-August 2014 I was on a raw food diet of sprouted mung beans, buckwheat etc, and some veggies and fruits, this made me feel slightly better and worse at times but the fog remained.
In September 2014 I did Dr Schulze's 30 day detox/juice fast, it didn't make me feel better, though when I was doing the bowel detox I noticed there was some white mucus in my stools.
I have considered the problem being candida but have taken coconut oil for months without success.

But now I have noticed that whenever my catecholamines are released through foods that trigger these hormones such as cheese, sauerkraut, the fog is temporarily lifted. And when I go 3-4 hours without food I get low blood Sugar this also triggers catecholamines and I feel better.

I can't handle stress, my fog gets worse whenever I am under stress.

Also within a minute of having kiwi, carrot juice, pear or something with sugar my fog gets worse.
Also within a minute of having raw garlic my fog gets worse, i don't know if it is because of raw garlic inducing low blood sugar.
I feel unusually relaxed throughout the day, whenever I have lots of carbohydrates I feel more relaxed and fog gets worse, and relaxant herbs make fog even worse. Vitamin C can make me relax and my fog worse also.
I have mental apathy as well as the fog.
Also sometimes after drinking water i have to urinate immediately or within a hour or two. Ashwagandha lessened this problem though.
Also after having a bowel movement my fog gets worse and after I drink a bit of water (2oz) my fog dramatically improves.

I spoke to a medical doctor online about the catecholamines such as norepinephrine making my fog temporarily better, they said to look at doing an adrenal saliva test (which i have done and will get results for next week).
I am not to sure if it is adrenal fatigue because I have been stress free since 2013, and my diet has been good.
I have been deficient in Vitamin B5 for a while in the past but this deficiency was corrected.

Thank you for reading my lengthy message, do you guys have any thoughts on this? So to conclude my symptoms are brain fog, sensivity to cold, double vision when viewing things close up. I have had blood tests for everything including iron,B12, fbc and everything was fine, though my testosterone and white blood cell count was on the lower end of normal.

Thanks
