Thanks frostymug for putting up such a comprehensive guide for all who have candida problems.
From what I know, while on the candida diet, all carbohydrates must be consumed in small quantities or not at all but from what I'm reading there's some that seem to be on the safe side in small quantities.
However I find that there's a lot of conflicting information about the Candida issue. Some websites claim that Oat Bran is safe, others say that Buckwheat is the way to go, and others claim that absolutely no carbohydrates is the only way to eliminate candida (which I find completely unrealistic).
Even though Oat Bran is an excellent prebiotic, what makes it safe so that it doesn't feed the Candida?
What do you think about Buckwheat?
Also how much per day do you consider to be the maximum that should be allowed to make sure that Candida is not being fed (or not too much)? Another user in the forum said that a good maximum amount of permitted carbohydrates (oat bran, buckwheat, etc.) per day would be 20 to 40 grams while on the Candida elimination protocol.
