Sorry to hear that Metho didnt work for you. I didnt even know that you were trying it, havent been on here consistently.

I too think that healing the gut or other gastrointestinal problems may be key. I think that my lips have healed to the extent that they will be able to from just reducing the inflammation from the outside. I think that I have inflammation or something of the sort being fueled from within.

I have actually had gastro problems for awhile now, my stool is very loose every time I go to the bathroom. But the internal medicine doctor that I have seen has said that everything she has tested (celiac and some bacterial tests) is fine.

Now she said she is going to refer me to a gastroenterologist for further testing. Ill keep you posted.

Anyways, Im still in the same condition really, as long as I keep them moisturized my lips are fine. They are a tiny bit worse in the winter because its so cold and dry where I am. But I do everything normally without problem and EC really minimally affects my life, so Im happy. I would still obviously love to heal my lips completely but I have also made peace with the fact that I may never...

Sorry to hear that your treatment didnt work. Not sure if you have tried it for an extended period but I still recommend that you try what I did to heal my lips. Constant moisture, no trauma, etc. And just try to enjoy life as much as you can. I know it sucks but it may just be incurable for some...
