The reason I think that mixing Epsom with apple juice is better than mixing it with grapefruit juice is because they recommend drinking apple juice prior to the Liver-Flush to soften the stones.
You still need a Pink grapefruit juice for the actual flush.

Needless to say, all the juice needs to be freshly squeezed.
