I haven't seen research that supports that.
Candida has the ability to produce xylitol as an antibacterial mechanism in competition for adhesion sites.
Candida grown in xylitol formed giant-cell budding candida.
Candida is some test was affected by xylitol in its ability to adhere to surface tissues, but in other tests, it demonstrates an amazing adaptive response that utilizes several mechanisms for adhesion, along with an ability to adapt and create others.
