Hi all, first time poster here, though I've lurked around these forums from time to time. As the title says, I'm an otherwise healthy man whose life has been pretty much upended for the last 3+ weeks due to apparent neurotoxin exposure.
I inhaled and made significant dermal contact with vinylbenzene and methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, which I believe has resulted in a sudden onset of symptoms including:
Tingling / numbness in extremeties
Strong fatigue
Loss of balance
Head pressure and headaches
Tingling, frozen tongue
Heart palpitations
Tachycardia
Bradycardia
Nausea
Shortness of breath
Severe (paralyzing) panic attacks which can last for hours
Total intolerance for even small doses of caffeine, nightshades, alcohol, Sugar (I don't get much in the way of Sugar or nightshades regularly)
Feeling of lightheadedness / loss of consciousness when urinating
Intolerance for any pressure around stomach region
Weight loss (10 lbs in 15 days)
Light sensitivity (couldn't look at a computer screen or TV without pain and physical anxiety for 2 weeks)
Feeling easily overwhelmed / over stimulated
Feeling of panic when air is trapped in upper GI tract (burping relieves panic immediately)
Etc.!
Blood work from many labs looks fine, hospital would not perform tox screen, brain MRI is fine, etc.
Defying the Western docs who chose to slap a "panic disorder" label on me and disregard my toxic exposure story, I've pursued a course of detox in an effort to get my life back.
Just to preempt any arguments that this might indeed be a psychological issue presenting itself: it isn't. I live the BEST life-- really, my life is amazing. I eat a great diet, cooking almost every meal. I have an awesome family, long term girlfriend (who will one day be my wife and whom I'm madly in love with), a great job that allows me tons of time to pursue my own hobbies and personal development, a growing business of my own, and plenty of time off to smell the roses. I'm athletic, a martial artist, trained in conscious breathing and some forms of meditation. I don't have much in the way of money worries, family stress, etc. I am about the happiest person I know, and my life gets better by the day.
At the present, these symptoms have reduced in occurrence and severity, though the general feeling of weakness, fatigue, and "unwell" has persisted. My personal research has led me to believe that I may have damage or irritation to the vagus nerve, but this has been dismissed as "reaching" by the western docs.
I had a recurrence of symptoms yesterday after eating a decent amount of nightshades (resting heart rate rose 50 points for 4 hours). My immediate research showed that it was certainly the nightshades' neurotoxicity, so I purged as well as I could, drank plenty of water, and waited for the symptoms to go away. I feel OK today, but I believe the experience set me back a few steps.
My daily regimen includes 2250mg of CuraMed, dandelion root, lots of water, concentrated chlorophyll drops, and a very restricted diet. what I would like to know is if there is anything in particular I can be doing to help speed this recovery. It is worth noting that as of tomorrow, I will be starting a 30 day detox regimen (Xymogen 6 day detox done for 30 days). That said, any advice on foods that I can eat or supplements that I can take during the process would be much appreciated.
Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to getting my life back!
