Actually I think the prick sensations are more likely the fibers and other objects which the worm (or whatever) makes. They fall down to the feet and hands simply by gravity. The sensations are the body trying to eject them from the skin, or its the feeling as they move through the body over nerves. If this is true the best way to get rid of the sensations in the short term is to soak the skin and rub with a course loufa or pumice stone. Then I have found that essential oils work well to draw the stuff out. In the long term we need to kill the things making this stuff! The sensations are probably both the worms and the objects moving through the body.
