Bacteria and other single cell organisms without a nucleus have always engaged in Horizontal Gene Transfer among themselves...........it's just how they function.

What is disconcerting is that only two bacteria known to Science , Agrobacterium and Bartonella, can cross Phylums and insert DNA into Eukaryotic cells , like we have.

Agrobacterium and Bartonella, one of thoes or a BLO (bartonella like organism) have to be present for DNA exchange to occur.

What Genetic Engineering has done is to supercharge pathogenic bacteria by inserting dangerous genes into Agrobacterium then the agrobacterium is spread all over in the farming process and gets in the soil and water shed, the upgraded stuff. Since bartonella and agrobacterium are so closely related , both rhizobiales order gram negative alphaproeobacteria, then Bart get's the upgrade too. This process of speeding up and altering evolution has a price and one of those prices is Morgellons. Who know's what kind of fun stuff is coming down the road because now the genie is out of the bottle.
