Oh yes...been dealing with this since I was a kid...and putting very hot water has been the only thing that has helped me.
Recently I found just putting the affected area near the ceramic heater for a few minutes gives similar relief
..just without the instant gratification you get with hot water. But I do have a overwhelming feeling of peace after the treatment..so it's interesting you associate it with endorphins. Makes sense to me.
