"What ascorbic acid does is oxidize Colloidal Silver ."
It's the reverse. Ascorbic Acid is itself oxidised as it reduces ionic silver into silver. During the reduction process, ascorbic acid is oxidised (donates an electron) and is converted into Dehydroascorbic Acid (DHA). Ionic Silver has a positive charge (missing an electron), and when it takes an electron from the ascorbic acid, it is stabilized into silver. The end product is silver and Dehydroascorbic Acid, which is sometimes used as a Vitamin C supplement, and is more readily taken up and used by the body than Ascorbic Acid - another form of Vitamin C.
