Illinois has achieved more concessions re pet policy than most states, but it is time to allow pets on every Amtrak train in the country.

1 At least 150 million American humans are caregivers to cats and dogs.
2 Why should trains be denied to these citizens. There will be much more revenue for Amtrak when pet caregivers aren't excluded.
3 Europe has a much more ethical policy regarding pets on trains.

4 Republican governors Scott Walker of Wisconsin, John Kasich of Ohio, and Rick Scott of Florida, denied train improvements to their citizens by returning mass transit money to DC.
5. Many airlines allow well behaved pets.
6 In addition, Amtrak needs to provide many more vegan options for passengers. This also will increase revenue for the train system.
