I am an acupuncturist. I studied at Shandong University in the People's Republic of China. Upon first learning of EFT I was quite skeptical. It looks rather silly. I tried it anyway and was astounded by the results. A long term client with a frozen shoulder was instantly healed. I was now a believer.

But I could not buy the reasons given by Gary Craig why EFT actually works. To release emotions via light tapping on acupoints just does not follow acupuncture theory and over 2000 years of accumulated empirical experience.

But EFT does work for many things and a skilled therapist can work wonders. I pondered this disconnect for several years. I then ran upon the work of Dr. Daniel Benor and his WHEE (Wholistic Health derived from EFT and EMDR).

WHEE was achieving the same exact results as EFT, it is simpler and doesn't look silly. Both young and old can quickly learn the tapping technique WHICH DOES NOT FOCUS ON ACUPOINTS. ???

One evening I received a call from Dr. Larry Nims and invited me to take his BSFF practitioner training. He no longer uses tapping at all. He developed a program for the subconscious mind that works a lot better than EFT.....

So why does the tapping work? Simple, the tapping is only a signal to the subconscious mind to go to work.
