yes about all the additions to The Master Cleanse
that are not following the basic Burroughs guidelines.

it was for this exact reason last year that the fasting/ general forum
and Water Fasting forums were created.

the general fasting was supposed to be a support forum for those
that were choosing to add extras ot in spurts etc...
with eatings inbetween etc.

drinking extras such as brothes/ cocoas etc.
juiced veggies etc etc.

rather than admonish folks that do these things,
i might suggest that by simply referring them to the forum description and posting a link to the in-general fasting forum description it might be taken in a better light?

some folks are not aware of the other forums existance/ or even that doing these alt things are NOT supportive of the true nature of the cleanse:
which is for detox and wt loss purposes.

yes folks do it for wt loss, and it is listed as such in the book.

yes a great many that do it ONLY for this reason tend to gain it back AS THEY WOULD under any endeavor they do ...
IF they do not make changes in their diets after going off the cleanse.

it is NOT a *quick fix* for wt loss.

hopefully , those that do it for this purpose , we can steer onto encouraging them to read on proper foods to help bring them into a greater knowledge of how to maintain wt loss/ thru detoxing/ and proper eating.
if we jump on them, we might discourage them .. from perhaps further resourcing the many opportunities of knowledge in a wealth of forums here for their free use.

these folks need help/ if they go back to past eating habits they will only feel they have faiied , plus gone thru a negative exp in the process..
consider yourself to be a guiding hand 8)
i know you , Rowan , in that i have seen you post so many wonderful helps on other topic forums.
i know you have a wealth of knowledge you can pass along to these types of folks.
