there is a visual indicator showing the age of the thread, and the age of every single message.

It is a small number with a letter, at the end of a link to every single message.

example of numbers:

90s ... message posted 90 seconds ago (red color)

25m .... message posted 25 minutes ago

14h ..... message posted 14 hours ago

20d ...... message posted 20 days ago

12mo ........ message posted 12 months ago

9y ........... message posted 9 years ago

The older the message, the less visible number.

Fresh messages have red numbers like 90s .... seconds ago

There is also a different number, larger number.
That number indicates how many views were recorded on that message.

Example:
//www.curezone.org/forums/f.asp?f=591

That thread was started 19 months ago, and the first message was viewed 208,721 times (this number may change).

Example of threads with a large number of views:
//www.curezone.org/forums/s.asp?f=762&c=1&ob=h
