The term "real Colloidal Silver " became a fad when certain sellers decided to label their particle solutions as "true Colloidal Silver "
The entire affair is a bit of a misnomer as it delves on the fact that only metallic particles could ever qualify as true silver. Whereas ionic or nano particles are not true silver(elemental).
However, the buck didn't stop there as purveyors of silver solutions sort-of ran away with the ball as we began seeing terms such as "true colloids" entering the fray to help bolster product superiority amidst a very difficult market to control.
In the end, I've come to the conclusion that most of the people repeating these terms are oblivious to what a colloid is, let alone, ions and particles. Whereas the sellers on the hand have proven to be quite deceptive in there determination to make money.
In the end, I was never truly concerned with poor marketing or false information. Though I have noticed a potential downfall to selling products under faulty claims as this often comes at the cost of ones potential for affective treatment.
ie, Say Joe buys $300.00 worth if particle silver in an effort to treat a serious infection. At which point, Joe follows the recommended dosage very carefully with little to no success.
This leaves Joe under the impression that Colloidal Silver doesn't actually work. Thus resulting in loosing the potential for alternative treatment. Whereas Joe never realized that the product he believe to be "true colloidal silver" was the least effective of all of the silver solutions.
In the end, Joe could have made his own CS and cure himself. But that option was obscured by the disinformation spread from product marketing.
True story btw.
