Potassium levels are kept pretty constant in blood/serum, same as with magnesium; both are however kept mostly inside the cells, so a blood test cannot reveal the real levels of it.
Potassium - sodium; inside - outside
Magnesium- calcium; inside outside
The levels of K and M outside the cells are kept constant to the degree where the body takes magnesium from the bones, as if not a sudden cardiac death may occur.
- I guess it is similar with potassium. Luckily there are some potassium in most food, so the symptoms arent as obvious as with magnesium.
I noticed a boost of energy when I took the extra potassium, but also calmness, sleep issues no more. I believe it fixed the rest of my adrenal fatigue.
