me and you have the same story dead on. what i learned from the candida diet is over time the body gets starved of glucose because of the diet and the organs get sluggish causing new problems. due to carb restrictions i ended up with a sluggish thyroid and adrenals causing more health issues. i started eating regular again and ive gained 15 pounds back and i feel better. my doc said when the body doesnt have enough glucose the adrenals substitute cortisol instead of glucose into the blood which suppresses the immune system more so candida or whatever gets worse.
