I forgot to tell the newbies that it's a level teaspoonfull of malic acid per quart. I've used it in frozen, 100% grape juice before. It works just fine. The stuff tastes kinda nasty in just distilled water.

It's something people use when they are canning their own fruit. Should be available most anywhere.
