If you start Iodine and selenium and you see a TSH spike its a clear indication your body is requesting more thyroxin to be produced and NIS symporters to be created.

Once your TSH levels drop back into normal range and stabalize it s a good indicator you thyroxin output is where your body feels it should be AND you have the needed symporters for optimal thyroid function.
