1- Yes there was a post here recently by someone who put a mixture of Iodine and water on his hair and it helped to make it thicker. You will find it, it's only 1 or 2 weeks old.
You could try wombats cream either.

2- Morning is supposedly best I think. I take mine first thing on an empty stomach.
