New to this website. Lots of great information re: Iodine Supplementation. Will add my 2 cents. Had all the symptoms of a hypothyroid, weight gain, hair falling out, dry skin, no energy and swallowing difficulty. As they were all fairly mild I did nothing about them until my fingers started going black in the cold! Blood tests done were all normal however I still display all the above symptoms. I decided in the last week to start Iodine in the form of Sea Kelp (3 tabs a day) along with a Multivitamin. Initally, felt great! Now having symptoms of Bromide Detox. Just done Salt Water loading as recommended by many on here, and now feel much better. Will only take 1 Sea Kelp tablet tomorrow and see how I get on. Have ordered Lugol's but I'm afraid to take this over the Sea Kelp, Any thoughts on this?
