Hello all-thanks for reading:

Started having some pretty bad pain a couple of weeks...that ultimately put me in the ER. Endoscopy showed esophageal inflammation and H. Pylori.
So of course, the doctor put me on a PPI and strong antacids.

I keep hearing about all the negatives/horror stories regarding these pills and I want off of them as soon as possible.
That said, the pain for me is quite bad.

I keep reading about not having enough acid in my stomach as opposed to too much. But, when I take Apple Cider Vinegar, it makes the pain worse.
Does that mean I indeed have too much stomach acid or is that above test inconclusive?

How do I know for sure which one I have?
